Ibiza is one of the Balearic islands, an archipelago of Spain in the Mediterranean Sea. It's well known for the lively nightlife in Ibiza Town and Sant Antoni, where major European nightclubs have summer outposts. 1. CALA COMTE
Cala Comte (also known in Spanish as Cala Conta and in Catalan as Platges de Comte) is an iconic beach located in the southwest of Ibiza. Its name bears historical significance, stemming from Nuño Sánchez, Count of Sardinia and Roussillon, who played a role in the island's conquest in 1234.
2. CALA LONGA
The settlement and beach resort, Cala Longa, is a popular destination for tourists, and has ferry connexions with Ibiza Town, Es Caná, and Santa Eulalia del Río.

3. EIVISSA
The name of Ibiza in Catalan is Eivissa and its sometimes called Vila d'Eivissa or simply Vila ("Town"). It is divided into two main parts: the old town, called the Dalt Vila (literally "Upper Town"), located on a little mountain by the sea, and the modern part, called the Eixample (“Extension”). Sights include the cathedral of Santa Maria d'Eivissa (14th century), located at the top of the Dalt Vila, and the Punic necropolis of Puig des Molins.

4. ES VEDRA
The small rocky island Es Vedra is located off the south western seaboard of Ibiza.The island, which is 413 metres tall, is part of the Cala d'Hort nature reserve and lies 1.5423 miles (2.4821 km) off the coast at Cala d'Hort, which is in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia. The island is uninhabited.
5. FORMENTERA
Formentera is the smallest and most southerly island of the Pityusic Islands group (comprising Ibiza and Formentera itself, as well as various small islets). It covers an area of 83.24 square kilometres (32.14 sq mi), including offshore islets. According to the Census of 1 January 2021, it had 11,891 inhabitants.
6. PARC NATURAL DE SES SALINES
The Ses Salines d’Eivissa i Formentera Natural Park is located between the two islands of Ibiza and Formentera, comprising the southern area of the Ibiza, the north of Formentera and the sea that separates them. The park covers 2,838.44 hectares of land and more than 13,000 hectares of sea, equivalent to 75% of the park’s area. The natural park is an example of the richness of Mediterranean biodiversity. Its uniqueness lies in its being a stopover and nesting area for migrating birds. As a natural area of special interest, it encompasses a variety of terrestrial and marine habitats with outstanding ecological, landscape, historical and cultural values at an international level.
7. PORTINATX
Portinatx is a small urbanization, formerly a very small fishing village, on the island of Ibiza. It is located 1 hour from the island airport in the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja and is the most northern bay on the island. Portinatx is family oriented rather than a party place, with warm seas off of its small beaches that remain shallow for some distance.

8. SANT ANTONI DE PORTMANY
Sant Antoni de Portmany is situated on the western coast of Ibiza and is the second-largest town and municipality on the island. For two thousand years, Sant Antoni was a small fishing village that rose from the Roman natural harbor Portus Magnus, but it began to grow in the late 1950s when many hotels and tourist resorts were built as part of a mass tourism initiative which took place across Spain.

9. SANT CARLES DE PERALTA
Along the east coast of Ibiza you will find the small village of San Carles. Located 22km north east of Ibiza Town, this is a perfect lunch spot if you are exploring the island.bThe pretty white 18th century church dominates the scene, as the road winds around the church to take you back out of the village. Becoming a hippy haven in the 60's as many people were drawn to the beautiful surroundings of this town in the north of Ibiza, it's still very much a hippy community today. The original gathering point was Anita's Bar, where the only telephone was located.

10. SANT JOAN DE LUBRITJA
Sant Joan de Labritja is a village and municipality on northern Ibiza. Among others, the resorts of Portinatx and Cala de Sant Vicent are located there. The actual village of Sant Joan is a quiet street, dominated by an imposing Christian church, and is the meeting point of Sant Joan de Labritja Municipal Council. You will find several small cafés and restaurants in the village.
WHEN TO GO: The best time to visit Ibiza is from May to October when high temperatures hover in the mid to high 20s and the party crowd descends. The months between November and April are considered low season, when flight and hotel rates drop along with the temperatures to below the 20s.
HOW TO GET THERE: To reach Ibiza, travelers can fly into Aeroport d'Eivissa (IBZ), also known as Ibiza Airport. The airport is situated less than 5 miles southwest of Ibiza Town. Alternatively, visitors can take a ferry from Valencia or Barcelona.
HOW TO GET AROUND: Bus (discobus or regular bus), rent a car, taxi or water taxi.
