The gorgeous Bay of Kotor, known simply as Boka (the Bay) is about 28 kilometres long with a shoreline of 107 kilometres and has been a World Heritage Site since 1979. Explore the well-preserved medieval towns of Kotor, Risan, Tivat, Perast, Pr?anj and Herceg Novi on its shores. Be sure to take a boat trip and visit Our Lady of the Rocks, one of the two islets of the coast of Perast. It is an artificial island created by bulwark of rocks and by sinking old and seized ships loaded with rocks. The Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Rocks is the largest building on the islet; it has a museum attached.
