Glacier Adventure is a small family run company. The company revolves around Europe’s largest glacier, Vatnajökull. All of their tours are operated on and in the glacier. The company has its own Base Camp, only 12km east of the Glacier Lagoon. The meeting point is Hali. At Hali they have a hotel, guesthouse, restaurant and even a museum.
Glacie Adventure's goal is to share their love and knowledge of the region with their clients and to safely introduce them to some of Iceland´s most stunning sights. They have summer and winter tours. During summer they take clients on a glacier walk on Breiðamerkurjökull, one of Vatnajökull outlet glaciers. They also offer ice climbing in small and intimate groups.
Over the winter period, from November to middle of March they go inside the glacier. They also have two ice caves that they take their clients to and offer shorter and longer ice cave tours. As the glacier is ever changing they have to find new ones every year.
The office staff, guides, and drivers are all personable, professional and fun to be around with. Their guides are informative, friendly and professionals and they have the training to get clients there safe, introduce them to the unique nature they have to offer, share their knowledge of the area and get clients back to Hali safe and sound and of course extremely happy.
