Lamb Inn is a family business located in the countryside with lovely views over neighbouring farms and mountains and only 10 km south of the town Akureyri.
Lamb Inn can accommodate up to 38 guests. All the rooms have en suite bathroom facilities and comfortable beds. Room sizes range from a number of double or twin to one large family room for four, easily converted to sleep up to six people. Two bedrooms are specially designed for easy wheelchair access. Lamb Inn Farmhouse offers 6 rooms with shared bathroom - four double rooms, one triple room and a family room that sleeps four. There is a hot tub and free Wi-Fi at Lamb Inn.
The restaurant at Lamb Inn is in a converted barn, where guests can enjoy the chef’s speciality, traditional Icelandic lamb dishes. Guests can also order various fish courses such as cod and char along with other quality courses made with local ingredients. Homemade bread is served with breakfast.
The Eyjafjörður area offers a variety of recreational options and interesting places to visit. One can easily spend a whole day touring the countryside, enjoying a mixture of the beautiful landscape, local food and culture. The area boosts some interesting museums and galleries and many of the local churches are pieces of art. Walking trails are widely to be found – a walk along the banks of the Eyjafjarðará River with it‘s vibrant birdlife is highly recommended.
