Closest Lodge to the Etosha National Park

Mokuti Etosha Lodge in Namibia is the perfect venue for travelers wanting to explore the famous eastern side of Etosha National Park. Known for its excellent and diverse wildlife encounters, this Namibian icon has become a popular destination resort for international and Namibian visitors. The lodge is only a four minutes drive from the eastern Von Lindequist Gate near the historical Namutoni Fort and is located on its own private 4.000 hectare nature reserve, which shares a common border with this fascinating wildlife reserve.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by a cool, green, tropical oasis. Charming thatched buildings throughout the Hotel garden and two sparkling pools nestled among the vast indigenous gardens, give credence to the name “Mokuti”, which in Ovambo means “In the forest”.

There is a total of 106 rooms and are available in Standard, Luxury and Luxury Family-Rooms. The Luxury Suites feature a traditional and elegant Etosha theme, giving them a true “Out of Africa” feel. These luxury suites are standalone bungalows, situated on the eastern side of the main lodge, with spectacular views of the lush gardens. Enjoy a peaceful afternoon, watching the world go by from the comfort of your private balcony. The Luxury Family Suites feature a country décor theme, with stylish and modern finishes and generous space within which to relax or entertain. These suites are interconnected to a separate room, which can also be converted to a lounge area, with its own television – perfect for families.

At Mokuti Etosha Lodge dinners are served in the Tambuti Dining Room and Terrace, the African Boma or even al fresco under the towering garden trees. The Tambuti Dining Room
offers country-style comfort, “home” cuisine with a Namibian touch during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinners are either a buffet or three course set menu with three selections per course. On certain nights these dinners are served in the garden, under the trees. The African Boma is a traditional kraal/enclosure with a huge fireplace and Braai/BBQ in the center. On certain nights guests can enjoy dinner, consisting of a traditional Namibian Braai (BBQ) and choose one of our South African Wines. The Pool Bar & Terrace is open all day and serves à la carte snacks, teas and coffees as well as lunch.

Guest can make the most of the landscaped gardens at Mokuti Etosha Lodge - relaxing in the shade under the trees or at the pool; or visit the exciting Ontouka Reptile Park, play a game of tennis or billiards, explore the reserve by following one of the marked walking trails, be pampered in the SPA or workout at the gym. For the slightly more adventurous, there’s the option of accompanying one of Mokuti’s experienced game guides in an open safari vehicle into Etosha National Park.

The SPA at Mokuti Etosha Lodge is just at the edge of the bush bordering with the Etosha National Park and provides guests with absolute relaxation, quietness and tranquility.
