Boutique luxury
Pablo House is situated on the highest point in Melville and has 360 degree views spanning the koppies, Sandton & Johannesburg. Pablo House promises to be the inner-city oasis you’ll never want to leave!
Owners Louis and Leigh Roux first found this gem in 2016, previously known as ‘Yarramundi’. The pair reimagined the concept of a traditional guest house and focused on the experiential and tactile elements, resulting in a modern and elegant experience for today’s traveller. “What captivated us was the breath-taking views the property has. You don’t expect it until you step inside” said owner Louis. “Having a view in Johannesburg is a luxury in its own right. It gave us the feeling that anything is possible and so we designed the spaces to heighten the guest experience.”
All rooms have en-suite bathrooms outfitted with rain showers. Each room boasts UHD Smart-TVs with Netflix, YouTube and WiFi connectivity. Suites 1 to 5 face north and enjoy breath-taking views across the Melville Koppies and greater Johannesburg. While room 6 boasts its own private patio.
What really brings Pablo House to life is the art collection that the owners have hand selected over the years. Mostly Southern African, their collection boasts pictures from renowned artists such as SA’s Norman Catherine and Parisian artist Patrick Willock, but some of their finest pieces they believe are from up and comers such as Pauline Ghutta and Gary Stevens who are fast becoming top of the SA Art-scene watch list.
Melville is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Johannesburg, known for its bustling nightlife and exciting restaurant scene, with a bohemian type flavour.
