Modern vineyard retreat
Ideally perched on a hilltop in the middle of this most picturesque valley, with the Andes mountains in the distance, Vik Chile boasts 360-degree views out across the surrounding vineyards and nature. Its floating, sculptural roof of bronzed titanium, which was inspired by the mountains, the wind, and the work of Frank Gehry and Richard Serra greets guests as they arrive.
Spacious guest areas open out onto an unusual slate pool that extends out over the valley and the lake below, suspending bathers over a spectacular landscape.
Meals are served in a variety of settings, from the indoor dining room to the expansive outdoor terraces that look out onto the valley, lake and vineyard or even outdoors in a mountain grove. Authentic South American cuisine includes traditional barbeques, as well as fresh fish and seafood.
Rejuvenating treatments are available in the hotel’s spa, while younger guests are kept entertained in the game room, with its movie library and children’s toys. Private wine tastings and guided winery tours, as well as horseback and mountain bike excursions are also available.
