Wonderful hideaway in Ubud

A very different Resort and Spa away from the hustle and bustle of Bali, Wapa di Ume is a boutique resort just 5 minutes from Ubud centre surrounded by palm trees and rice fields.

Relaxed, warmly furnished rooms, suites and villas offer free Wi-Fi, 4-poster beds and views of the rice fields. Suites have sofabeds and balconies with dining areas, while airy villas feature private pools and gardens. Room service is also offered.

Included are shuttle services to/from Ubud, daily high tea and yoga classes, as well as breakfast served in the open-air restaurant.

Mr.Wayan, Balinese Cuisine Restaurant at Wapa di Ume serves authentic Balinese food overlooking the rice fields. Balinese cuisine is traditional food from the volcanic island of Bali.It is one of the most complex cuisines in the world using an incredible variety of spices, blended with fresh vegetables, meat and fish. There is also the Wapa Restaurant and the menu offers guests a combination of wonderful Balinese specialties and western dishes.

There ia a luxury three level ultra modern Spa in the famous Wapa style in the jungle with a rain forest as a view. Featuring a whirlpool, a beauty centre and two private massage rooms with a selection of treatments using natural oils with and exotic blend of perfumes. Indonesian herbs and spices add to the rich traditional nature of their treatments for total well being and their well-trained therapist will take pleasure in explaining each step of the treatment.

There is a Yoga Centre at Wapa di Ume and free morning classes for guests every day.

Balinese Cooking Lessons are also on offer daily at Wapa di Ume. Their Balinese chef will guide guests to prepare for the cooking lesson which starts at 07.00am in the morning and are then taken by the staff to buy the cooking ingredients at Ubud’s traditional market. The cooking starts at 11.00am and is held in a traditional Balinese kitchen compound in the organic gardens and rice fields. The best part is when guests can sample their cooking as lunch on the wooden deck overlooking the rice fields. There is also an afternoon cooking lesson.
