Mole National Park is the largest game reserve in Ghana. Situated in the northwest corner of the country, Mole was reserved in 1958 after Ghanaian independence and then gazetted as a national park in 1971.
Fed by the Lovi and Mole rivers, over 90 mammal species have been identified within the park. These include, but are not limited to elephants, waterbuck, kob, bushbuck, hippo, warthog, water buffalo, hyenas, and baboons. A large number of birds and reptiles can also be seen.
