1. BLUE GROTTO
The Blue Grotto is a number of sea caverns on the south east coast of Malta. The caverns are a popular destination for tourists with boat trips visiting the caves running all days of the year, weather permitting. Scuba diving on the nearby scuttled wreck Um El Faroud, and snorkelling along the coastline, together with rock climbing, are popular activities practised in the area.
2. COMINO
The small island of the Maltese archipelago, Comino, is located between the islands of Malta and Gozo in the Mediterranean Sea, measuring 3.5 square kilometres in area. The island is a bird sanctuary and nature reserve. It is also home to the famous Blue Lagoon.
3. GOZO
Gozo is one of the 21 islands that make up the Maltese archipelago. Inhabited for thousands of years, it shows evidence of historic immigration and rule by the Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Sicilians, French and British, among others. It’s famous for its Neolithic Cgantija Temple ruins, rural hiking paths, beaches and scuba-diving sites.

4. GRAND HARBOUR
The Grand Harbour (also known as the Port of Valletta) is a natural harbour on the island. The harbour has been described as Malta's greatest geographic asset. Birgu, Cospicua, Kalkara, Senglea and Sliema are definitely worth exploring in this area.

5. MARSAXLOKK (3)
The small, traditional fishing village of Marsaxlokk lies in the South Eastern Region of Malta. This popular tourist attraction is famous for its gorgeous views, fishermen and history.

6. MDINA (3)
The fortified city, Mdina, in the Northern Region of Malta served as the island's capital from antiquity to the medieval period. The city is still confined within its walls, and has a population of 250, but it is contiguous with the town of Rabat, which takes its name from the Arabic word for suburb.
7. MELLIEHA (3)
Mellieha is a large village in the Northern Region of Malta. It is a tourist resort, popular for its sandy beaches, natural environment, and Popeye Village nearby. The village overlooks Malta's largest sandy beach called Mellieah (Ghadira) Bay.

8. RABAT (3)
The town of Rabat is also situated in the Northern Region of Malta. It adjoins the ancient capital city of Mdina, and a north-western area formed part of the Roman city of Melite until its medieval retrenchment.

9. VALLETTA (3)
Valletta is the tiny capital of Malta. The walled city was established in the 1500s on a peninsula by the Knights of St. John, a Roman Catholic order. It’s famous for its museums, palaces and grand churches. Baroque landmarks include St. John’s Co-Cathedral, whose opulent interior is home to the Caravaggio masterpiece "The Beheading of Saint John.”

10. ST PAULS BAY (3)
St. Paul's Bay is an area popular with tourists, as it has plenty of amenities and accommodation options. St. Paul's Bay borders on the lively seaside towns Bugibba and Qawra, and is good base from where to do your sightseeing.
