“Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain.” - Jack Kerouac

Bali is an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies,  fantastic beaches and coral reefs. The island is home to religious sites such as cliffside Uluwatu Temple. To the south, the beachside city of Kuta has lively bars, while Seminyak, Sanur and Nusa Dua are popular resort towns. The island is also world renowned for its yoga and meditation retreats, particularly in Ubud.

Seminyak is a beach resort area with many luxury hotels, villas and spas, as well as high-end shopping and restaurants. Sleek bars and clubs with busy sunset scenes line Seminyak and Petitenget beaches, which are wide, west-facing stretches of Indian Ocean shoreline with good surfing conditions.

Kuta is one of Bali's first tourist developments, it's best known for its party-centric atmosphere and surfing in the Indian Ocean. Kuta's long, consistent waves make it a popular surf spot, particularly for beginners, with plenty of outfitters offering board rentals and surf lessons.

Jimbaran is a fishing village and coastal resort south of Kuta. Jimbaran Bay has a long beach with calm waters. It's lined with fish restaurants and backed by tropical forest. At its northern end, colourful boats are pulled up by the lively, open-air Kedonganan fish market. Southwest of the bay are Dreamland Beach and Balangan Beach, known for their strong surf waves.

A tropical resort where the emphasis is on relaxation. Surrounded by tropical landscaped gardens, two lagoon pools and large sunbathing areas. A variety of room types all offering "Affordable Luxury" in the Nusa Dua area.

Swiss-Belhotel Segara is located in Bali’s premier tourism destination, the world-class Nusa Dua Tourism Resort. For an unforgettable holiday experience on Bali, the “Isle of the Gods,”  the 4-star rated Swiss-Belhotel Segara offers an amazingly affordable level of luxury combined with true Balinese hospitality.

The town of Ubud, in the uplands of Bali is known as a centre for traditional crafts and dance. The surrounding rainforest and terraced rice paddies, dotted with Hindu temples and shrines, are among Bali’s most famous landscapes. Ancient holy sites include the intricately carved Goa Gajah (“Elephant Cave”) and Gunung Kawi, with its rock-cut shrines.

This boutique retreat is encompassed by tropical greenery in the picturesque village of Kedewatan, Ubud. It anticipates the needs of modern travellers with just 40 suites housed within three blocks overlooking a timeless landscape of mature trees and swaying coconut palms.

Even while operating independently, guests staying at the Jungle Retreat are welcome to use the facilities at the adjacent Kupu Kupu Barong. This extends to La View Restaurant for cuisine that marries French sophistication with the flavours of Asia. Body and beauty treatments can also be enjoyed at the award-winning Mango Tree Spa by L’Occitane. The Jungle Retreat is staffed by a team of professionals and hospitality is second to none. Guests can continue to expect the same level of impeccable service that is available at Kupu Kupu Resorts in Bali and Thailand.

Lombok is an Indonesian island east of Bali and west of Sumbawa, part of the Lesser Sunda Island chain. It's known for beaches and surfing spots, particularly at Kuta and Banko Banko (in south Lombok). The motor-vehicle-free Gili Islands (Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and Gili Meno), off Lombok’s west coast, offer more beaches, reefs for diving and snorkeling, and a sea turtle hatchery.
