The word Gala-Gala means Gecko in the local dialect. The bush surroundings they enjoy are teaming with many Geckos so this was the inspiration for their name. The biodiversity of the area in and around the resort is extensive with an impressive variety of birds, butterflies, and other indigenous & interesting wildlife.
