Kampot Pepper takes its name from the province of Kampot, in south-west Cambodia, some 140 kilometres from the capital of Phnom Penh. La Plantation manages 22,000 Kampot pepper posts on around 20 hectares. La Plantation is the perfect place to learn the history of Kampot Pepper and understand how it is produced traditionally and organically.
Taking a water-buffalo pulling cart around the villages is a new and unique experience for you and an ideal ecofriendly way to explore and enjoy the local countryside. This one-hour tour will drive you through a very nice landscape up to the Secret Lake shore, to experience the local lifestyle and rural activities in the small villages around La Plantation.
Learning to cook Khmer food is a great way to introduce your Cambodian experience to your friends. The first step is to meet the Chef at Kampot market and visit the vegetable and fish stalls with him (optional). Then learn with him how to cook traditional Khmer dishes and enjoy sharing your dishes with your fellow food lovers.
Choose one of the two restaurants and discover exclusive recipes with spices created by the chefs: Traditional Khmer meals are served at the Mahob Khmer and the chef at La Rôtisserie serves you dishes with meat seasoned with peppers and spices from the farm.
