Historical pub

Built in 1546 for the servants of the Bishops of Ely, The Ye Olde Mitre is famous for having a cherry tree, (now supporting the front) that Queen Elizabeth once danced around with Sir Christopher Hatton.

Set right in the heart of London, The Ye Olde Mitre is surrounded by some of the country's most prized attractions, so if you're looking for something to do near Hatton Garden you won't be disappointed. The oldest Roman Catholic church in London is right on their doorstep and Hatton Garden, with its row of famous jewellers, is just around the corner. St Paul's Cathedral, The Old Bailey, Fleet Street and the historic areas of Charterhouse and Smithfield are just a short walk away too, so this is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet pint after discovering some of London's finest, and most historic sights.

Their multi award-winning beers are some of the best in London; they have seven real ales on tap, these include a minimum of 3 guest ales from across the country and a real scrumpy cider, too.

The Ye Olde Mitre has become quite well known for its home-made bar snacks. A perfect accompaniment to a great pint of ale, they are also proud to not serve chips; try instead one of their great toasted sandwiches!
