1. Netherlands
It's hard to imagine the Netherlands without picturing its beautiful tulips. During the spring months, the countryside is awash with vast fields of the flowers in a variety of vibrant colours.
Head to Amsterdam and visit the famous Keukenhof Gardens also known as The Garden of Europe. You'll be able to see rows of tulips lined up for as far as the eye can see.

Sweden may not be the first country you think of for a spring holiday, but it doesn't disappoint.
To celebrate the end of their long winter, the country hosts Valborg Day, the traditional Swedish welcoming of spring, on the 30th of April.
The locals host a massive bonfire complete with food, music and other festivities.

The south of Germany is also warming up, making it an ideal time to experience the country's natural heritage. Go on a hike, relax next to a nearby river with a picnic and don't forget to try some delicious wurst while you're at it!
